Genesis

Kendriya Vidyalaya Karimganj was established in the year 1992 and started functioning in the rented building at Settlement Road, Karimganj, provided by the Deputy Commissioner, Karimganj. It is one of the Kendriya Vidyalayas functioning under Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, New Delhi. It has started functioning in the new building w.e.f 28th June 2007 inspite of inadequate infrastructure. The Vidyalaya is producing better result in comparison to some of its well equipped counterparts.

Located in the scenic district of Karimganj in Assam, the school is strategically positioned to serve the educational needs of the region. Karimganj, a district characterized by its lush greenery and rich cultural heritage, offers a serene environment conducive to learning. The school is approximately 3 kilometers from the Karimganj railway station, making it easily accessible by train. The nearest airport is Silchar Airport, which is about 85 kilometers away, providing connectivity to major cities.
